What are VCards?

VCards are virtual business cards that can be sent to your contacts so they may save your information as a contact on their cell phone.

How do we create VCards in Rhinogram?

VCards can be created by going to Settings (gear icon), then Offices. A new office can be created by clicking the green plus button, or you can edit an existing office.

Once you've created the office, you can create VCards by clicking the green plus button.

The only required fields to create the VCard is a Name and selecting a phone number from the dropdown menu. You can also add an address, email, and a logo. You can create multiple VCards on the same Office, if desired.

How can we sent VCards to our contacts?

VCards can be sent in Rhinogram 3 different ways:

1) You can send a VCard on the fly by clicking the VCard icon below the text box on a contact's page.

2) You can attach a VCard to a template. Once the template is created, you can send it to the patient by clicking the template icon.

3) You can send VCards via RhinoBlast.

How can we tell if a patient has been sent a VCard?

Before the patient has been sent a VCard, the VCard icon will be gray.

If the patient has been sent some of the organization's VCards, but not all of them, the icon will be yellow, and will also appear next to their name on the summary.

If the patient has been sent all of an organization's VCards, the icon will turn green.

Why is my VCard showing up as a .vcf file?

How the VCard is displayed depends on the recipient's network carrier and device. During peak sending times, carriers may compress the contact card to optimize throughput speed resulting in the contact card showing as a .vcf file. By compressing the contact card, carriers are able to account for peak volume while still delivering your message to subscribers quickly.
