Once there, scroll to the bottom of the message thread where you'll see the RhinoSecure message option. Once you've selected RhinoSecure, you can click the speech bubble icon to use a template or manually type the message in the message bar. Once you're satisfied with your message, press the paper airplane icon to send.

What will the patient see when I send a RhinoSecure message?

Your patient or any contact you message using the RhinoSecure channel will get a text message from your default phone number for RhinoSecure message notifications (typically the main line for your office). This text will include a link that directs the patient to create a Rhinogram account (if this is their first time using RhinoSecure).

It takes about 30 seconds for the patient to enter their desired username and create a password, then they will automatically be logged into the Rhinogram Application. Once inside, they can view the message you sent them as well as download any attachments.

Patients can use the Rhinogram mobile application or simply access from a web browser.

Why would I want to use the RhinoSecure channel to send a message?

If you have a patient who isn't comfortable using text messaging to discuss their care, the RhinoSecure channel is an end-to-end encrypted communication channel. It's especially important when discussing sensitive healthcare topics like diagnoses or lab results as an example.

Another common use case is for provider to provider communication about specific patient information. Adding another provider to your list of contacts allows you to communicate securely with other providers and avoid using a personal cell phones to exchange PHI. The receiving provider can create a Rhinogram as a contact of your practice and use the web browser or Rhinogram mobile app to login and review any referral cases you may be asking them to review.

Can I pick more than one phone number to send out my RhinoSecure notifications to patients from?
