By default, your Rhinogram system is set to automatically timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity on the screen, but you have the option to change this configuration in your Organization Settings section under your Organization Profile.
Rhinogram's automatic timeout feature is intended to help practices stay HIPAA compliant by preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing your Rhinogram account at an unattended workstation.
Will I be warned before I am logged out?
Yes. Two minutes prior to being automatically logged out of Rhinogram, you will see a prompt on the screen warning you of the session inactivity and asking if you'd like to stay logged in. Simply click "Stay Logged In" and you will remain in your current session.
Will my work be saved automatically if I am logged out?
No. If you have a page open and are actively working on typing a message or making a change, your work will not be saved. It is important to save or complete anything you're working on prior to leaving your station or shifting away from Rhinogram so that you do not lose it.
Can the settings for auto logout be changed?
Yes. Organization Administrators have the option to adjust the automatic session timeout at the organization level. In order to make this adjustment navigate to Settings in the upper right corner of the page then scroll down to Organization Preferences.
On this page you will see the Organization System Timeout settings area. Organizations can choose a timeout period from 5 minutes to 1440 minutes (60 minutes x 24 hours). Your time period must be entered in minutes.
I have adjusted my automatic timeout at the organization level, but I still got logged out after 30 minutes. Why is that?
In order for your changes in the session timeout to take affect, your members will need to log out of the Rhinogram Application and log back in again. Once you've logged out for the first time the new timing configuration will be in place.
