What browser should be used if the contact/patient is an iPhone user?

iOS users should use Safari as their default browser when joining RhinoVideo sessions. They should also be advised to turn on Do Not Disturb on their phones prior to beginning a video chat. This will help avoid any issues with sound while in the chat.

Note: This is an Apple policy to limit all third party browsers.

What browser should be used if the contact/patient is an Android user?

Android users should use Google Chrome as their browser when joining RhinoVideo sessions.

Note: If anyone has attempted to use a browser that is not supported, they will be prompted with the message below:

Are there any browser limitations with RhinoVideo?
RhinoVideo does not work on Internet Explorer. For best results, advise contacts/patients to use the recommended browsers above based on the phone type. If joining from a desktop, Chrome is generally recommended.

While in a RhinoVideo session, why is the audio and/or video not working?

From both the phone and the desktop, RhinoVideo requires the participant to "Allow" microphone and camera access for the selected browser when the prompts appear.

If the participant does not allow access, and ignores the prompts requesting access, the call will need to be ended, and restarted. Once restarted the prompts to remove the restrictions are available again. This will generate a new link for a new RhinoVideo session.

Relaunch the browser, and/or restart the machine. In some cases, the microphone can be used in the background by another application and this will restart that process so a RhinoVideo can be conducted.

How can an organization help a participant with the default browser/microphone on their phone?

Organizations have the option to send a Template prior to starting a RhinoVideo session. The suggested templates below can be used for Android users, as iOS users default to Safari.
