What is Breeze?

Breeze is one of Rhinogram's vendor of choice for the Rhinopay feature for Oral Health organizations. Breeze is the point of sale payment processing engine by the same great team that handles OrthoBanc payment management.  Breeze is a Level 1 PCI compliant service provider and NACHA certified payment processor.  Breeze offers a personalized, online portal that allows organizations to research transactions, view reports, manage transactions, and print/send receipts with ease.

How to sign up to use Breeze for RhinoPay:

A Rhinogram organization needs to complete a Merchant Processing Agreement. To complete this agreement, the organization will need basic information such as organization name, address, phone number, federal tax ID and checking account information.

After completing an application, the organization received an email about completing a PCI Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) from OrthoBanc PCI Portal (Sysnet). Is this expected?

As a Level 1 PCI compliant service provider, Breeze is required to inform their organization of their PCI compliance obligations.  As an organization who accepts payments from the card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), an organization must agree to comply with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).  Breeze's partnership with Sysnet provides an organization with a customized online portal of support which helps organizations manage their PCI compliance, to include a self-assessment questionnaire.

What training will be provided for the Breeze portal?

Someone from the OrthoBanc/Breeze team will schedule a phone call with the organization to provide all necessary support, training, and configuration in Breeze.

How long does this process of RhinoPay onboarding take?

Onboarding timelines can vary based upon length of time it takes to complete the paperwork with Orthobanc. In general, onboarding is approximately 1-2 weeks after the Orthobanc paperwork has been completed. This timeline is subject to change based on client availability.

Will we have a way to run reports to see what payments were made so we can update our accounts receivable/ledger accordingly?

As an organization utilizing Breeze, there is an option to receive a daily email which will contain a link to the Daily Settlement Report.  Additionally, an organization may access the Daily Settlement Report from within the online Breeze portal and a Daily Deposit Report is sent via email.

How can a Member provide a receipt of the transaction?

A Member can enter the payment in the PMS/EHR once verified in the RhinoPay Manager, and provide a receipt through the PMS/EHR. Another option is for the Member to log into the Breeze portal, and access a receipt in the portal.

What options will the patient have to make a payment?

Breeze accepts all major credit cards as forms of payment. ACH is not supported.

Will the patient be able to change the amount they pay?

No, the amount the practice includes in the RhinoPay text will be the amount the patient has to pay. If they wish to pay a different amount, the patient can text the practice and make that request.

How would a Member cancel one payment amount or request a new payment amount?

Visit RhinoPay to learn more about how to cancel, resend a link, and request a new payment amount.

Does Breeze notify me once a payment has been received?

No, however, an organization will have 24/7 access to their personalized Breeze online portal which will display updated data in real time.  Rhinogram will also display Request Paid in the profile summary of the contact along with when it was paid and can reference RhinoPay Manager.

How often does Breeze provide funds to the Rhinograorganization that sign up to use RhinoPay?

Breeze deposits collected payments into the organization's account on the second business day after the transaction.  For example, payments that were made on a Monday will be deposited into the organization's account on Wednesday.

When a RhinoPay transaction is processed, what will show up on the contact's credit card statement?

On the contact's credit card statement, it will show “BRZ” (for Breeze) plus the merchant name. The processor allows for 16 characters therefore, it will cutoff after the 16th digit. i.e. BRZ*DresslerOrth

How much does RhinoPay cost?

RhinoPay is an additional monthly charge of $100 plus the OrthoBanc transaction fees, which are 2.75% flat rate, plus a $.25 per transaction cost. This means if you are charging the patient $100, the fee would be roughly $3.00.

When does Breeze deduct their fees for each transaction?

The full payment amounts made by the organization's contacts will be deposited into the organization's account.  Breeze will deduct any associated fees at the end of the month and will send the organization a statement via email which contains a detailed breakdown of all fees.

How does an organization know if a payment is declined?

The organization can view their transaction history in their Breeze portal.  The cardholder will immediately be provided with a response message (Approved/Declined).  If the payment declines, we will also display the decline reason (insufficient funds, invalid account number, etc.)

Are fees taken for voided or refunded transactions?

Breeze does not assess a fee for processing a void or refund.

What types of Credit Cards are accepted?

Breeze is certified to process payments of all major card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).  Breeze can customize which card brands the organization chooses to accept (or not accept).

Is Rhinogram PCI compliant?
N/A Rhinogram is technically considered out of scope when it comes to PCI compliance. The payments vendor Breeze, provides merchants services and collects all of the sensitive credit card/checking account information directly, which keeps all sensitive data out of the Rhinogram application.
