What is Marketing Consent?
Before sending advertisements or telemarketing messages through texts, you must obtain written consent from your patient or their legal guardian. We've included a new option within the Contact Summary panel to document if a contact has given this type of consent.

Why is Marketing Consent Needed?
Per the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act), office’s are required to get additional consent from their patients/contacts if they are going to be sending them non-health related text messages. It is important to check with your local state laws as to how you have to capture this (written, electronic, etc.).

Things to Remember:

  • The Marketing Consent is defaulted to "Unknown"

  • Consent can update to either Denied or Granted 

  • This consent option is also available when you create a new contact or edit an existing contact

  • Badge will display in same locations as HIPAA and RhinoPay RhinoPay
